Heating On

Up super early and up to Colchester for an 8am hair trim then down to Harwich for an ironing board and Covid and flu jabs. Went down to town with a friend to have a look at the Shanty Fest. Harwich Shanty festival used to be a small relaxed event but this year was ‘the biggest ever’. The streets were crammed with cars (thank goodness for my husband’s work car park!). The pubs were crammed with non-locals and it was all just a bit too big to have the charm it once had. We managed to get a table outside the Pier Hotel for lunch and a few pints before heading home and deciding the time has come to turn up the thermostat.
