Olive Oil

We did a wee bit of local food shopping before we had our walk and drink out before dinner at home tonight.

I always like to see what were the most expensive things on the receipt. Tonight it was the olive oil by far. It’s tripled in price in the last months. There were even two bottles of very decent Spanish white wines in our trolley. Olive oil is a staple in Spanish cupboards and is now one of the most stolen items for selling on in the black market.

Back home to baked potato, tuna, roasted tomatoes, cucumber, grated cheese and salad. We’re trying to eat in more and tonight marks 9 nights. We’ll probably eat out at the weekend.

Rest of the day was some marking and some back and forward emails and sharing of files for my next online assessment into Budapest next Tuesday.
