secret garden

Arbutus blossom

Well just too much excitement! I went out for a mosey in the garden at around 10ish just to see if anything was happening and it was incredible - sort of red surges all over the place - terrible photos as I only had my phone and was mostly gasping at how it managed to pick up all the colours that can't be seen with the naked eye and even got the flarey bits. I sent up to the old road where the colours seemed to be greener - see extra with Plough - and then down to the sea.hoping there might be a bit of bioluminescent too - some people are never satisfied!  The whole sky looked amazing and a huge orange half moon was descending. I was giddy with it!  Something ticked off the bucket list!

Another beautiful day today - very cold this morning. Himself has swept the chimney and we have our first fire going - and it's roasting!  Inspired by Veronica, I changed the covers on the sofas and found a Christmas cracker and some counters from Esme's snakes and ladders! Hmm, looks like the summer covers lasted a year!!

The shower cubicle is nearly done, just the door to go on and the grouting to dry - a shower will be good!

The strawberry tree is flowering and driving the bees mad. It's also fruiting and pleasing the birds. Whether it is native to Ireland is open to a lot of debate, normally found around the Mediterranean - and parts of Cork and Kerry. And look at that sky! Again!

And there's a new blog - all can now be revealed re arthouse holy well film!
