Sinking

How ironic that as an ardent office avoider, I was actually quite keen to get back into it this week, only to be thwarted by anti-Israeli protests.

Can’t say that I could have called that one!

I caught up on a few bits this morning and was then invited to join a friend for a brief wander around Dunelm and lunch, which was a welcome distraction.

A follow-up invite to join the family for homemade soup for tea was gratefully received, as were the pizza swirls made by one of the boys.

Part of the reason for the trip to Dunelm was to try and assist with a sofa choice (to replace the recently peed upon one), but with slim pickings to be had, her attention had turned to the online world and the augmented reality assist.

I quite like the sofa pictured. I really felt like you could sink into it…

Eventually, I had to prize myself loose, as like a hobnob to a brew is drawn, I had a rehearsal to attend.

My energy levels felt quite low this evening, but it seemed like a common feeling throughout the cast. We pressed on and I was granted an early release whilst the director blocked out some scenes. These early rehearsals of figuring out where to stand are always a bit of a grind, but a necessary step in the process.

Falling asleep to a couple of episodes of Slow Horses seemed like a fitting way to end the day.
