At Aberystwyth pier

This little town we are staying in is extraordinary.  It has no butcher or baker (two tiny supermarkets) but has a huge red house, which has a cobbler who will make you a pair of trendy, colourful shoes.  There is a moma (museum of modern art) and a CAT (centre for alternative technology).   There is a big whole food shop and a Farrow and Ball paint shop.  A very independent town where the language heard in the street is Welsh.  I love it.
We pottered around town in the morning and in the afternnoon went out to the coast to the town of Aberystwyth.  We stayed as long as we could hoping to see the famed Starling murmuration but alas it did not occur and we left as it was cold and windy with some rain in the air.  The photo is of the Royal pier as the sun was about to set.   It's predicted to be a tad windy here- see extra
