Cake

My WI is 11 years old this year, and I've been a member for nine of those, including a year as Secretary and two years as President. It's a small group of women, averaging 20 attendees at each meeting, from every walk and with a variety of current and past careers. It's nice, once a month, to meet up and talk about all sorts of different things with no pressure to 'be' anyone. There are some great bakers and jam makers but we've also had evenings learning self defence and tai chi, visited the local fire station, had talks from a local women's shelter, a bat rescue group and many things in between. Every women should join their local WI.

Tonight we had one of our ever popular wine tastings (NA wines were available), accompanied a fantastic cake decorated by a member.
