We have a quiet
fall morning with colours and
some muted sunshine

I was something of a slug this morning not leaving the house until 8:30. My mornings seem to begin later and later.....
I drove off to Tranquille to enjoy some quiet spaces. I stopped for a long shot of the wetlands pond and the farm. The hayfields near the pond were filled with Canada geese feeding and forming up for the migration. On the pond, one pelican fished while the little ducks around it waited for something to come their way. Two bald eagles were hunting over the pond. They were dive-bombing groups of small ducks who dove under the water when the eagles swooped down. I wasn't going to stay to watch.
I drove to the farm gates to turn around and get a shot of my mountains off to the east. I had a look into the waterways below the road. There is so much colour in the area. Virginia creeper tangled in trees is now scarlet. The white clematis that grows wild has turned to white pom poms along the road's edge.
I picked up my breakfast to take home. I have to start checking off my to-do list so there are some jobs today. Time is moving faster than I can handle right now.
