secret garden

Recent

I went into Durrus this morning to post a parcel, on the look out for a bit of modern for this week's Wide Wednesday Challenge (thanks steveng) and came upon a bit of recent instead. Part of this little bridge was swept away in the flash floods on Sunday and the red barricades are very recent and modern. The old church is getting a re-roof too.

You can see we're enjoying a spell of lovely weather after the torrential downpours at the weekend, warm and sunny and the herb beds are getting sorted. I also filled in the (hopefully) final form re citizenship and paid the dosh  - a headwrecker of a form in my opinion but now achieved.

Thank you to everyone who entered this week's TT Challenge on Fire. There was a myriad of soothing scented candles - Blipland must have smelled gorgeous last night-  some fiery jewels and flaming colours  and some unexpected sources of fire, especially some lethal cooking devices! .
Here are my hearts in no particular order:
SandraSuisse for her colourful fiery mandala and interesting write up
Trisharooni for the gorgeous fiery waratah
Pleach who was thinking the same as me, and an excellent write up
Majoayee for her funky gas light
Mayisle for the exquisite antique match box, and matches

Honorable mentions to
JohnW for his brainwave/comet
Crispin25 for something very similar and I couldn't decide between the two so you get both!
Steveng for his elegant soldering iron
Lesmark for her extraordinary fiery nasturtium
ChrisF for thinking outside the box
Anniebelle for her very decorative tea light cover which would have fitted well into last week's challenge on Earth too
And a special thank you to Incredibish and his blessings from the Great Stag.

Next week's challenge may be slightly easier and will be Water.
