Sunset

Mostly wet today,  some grappling with compost in the garden and answering spurious questions from solicitors related to moving house.
 Jess was running up in Hensingham at 6pm, I thought I'd get some air so dropped her off and went up onto the moor hoping to find an owl as the light faded. I did spot a Barn Owl but no chance for a photo.  A Kestrel was doing it's thing, I did get some shots but the light was now fading and the quality not good enough.
It gets dark so early now :-(
Looking back down to the coast I was taken by the clouds in the upper foreground of this scene scudding across in front of the much thicker bank seemingly motionless below. The beam of light through the cloud down onto the Irish sea.
I'm going to miss these sunsets.
