Autumn moves on

When we got home it was dark.  When we  looked out the next morning we could see how autumn had moved along. The trees are beginning to look a bit sparsely leaved and the vibrant colours of a few days back have become more muted. Basically all the foliage is starting to look old!
Of course the grey sky (and rain) don't help improve the outlook, compared to the brilliant sunny high pressure weather we had last week. Now we are in few days of very heavy rain, a fair amount of wind, and an extra  helping of mist!
Time to light the stove!
