Garter snake

It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a large garter snake. He/she was about 2 feet long as seen in the extra photo. It disappeared under our front deck shortly after I photographed it.
A little after that I was out watering some potted plants in our back yard and another garter snake the same size as the first one slithered out of my way.
Two garter snakes in one day! Actually in the same hour, one in the front yard and one in the back yard.
Made my day!
