Mystery object

I glanced out the window and was shocked to see this mysterious object approaching the house. A closer look in the extra.  For the MonoMonday theme of mysterious. Thanks to sk for hosting MM this month.
The second extra is a photo of the biggest maple leaf I've ever seen, almost completely hiding Kalyn's face. I can't find the original, taken in 2011, I think, and it was in colour. This is a follow up to my blip of a big maple leaf a few days ago.
