The Texan

Two things, one I am pretty sure that someone sent me a very generous offer and somewhere in the craziness of life I never took him up on it. As an act of requesting forgiveness I am dedicating this Blip and the next to him. I think you will all understand why.

Second, at the Allster/Coolidge Corner location of Bagel Rising, which has, perhaps one of the best bagels I have ever eaten (I've been ordering the Jackson Crook all week as a memorial tribute - don't worry I've complained that there is no Fawcett Treasure.) They have this box where you can suggest a bagel. Last week, before Bermuda, I suggested The Texan. Jalapeno bagel, jalapeno cream cheese, turkey, avocado, pickles, lettuce, onion and tomato. I know, I know, delicious. IT WON! You can imagine my cousins and my shock and utter delight when saw it on the Bagel of the Week board. We also practically had the folks behind the bar in tears with our excitement. It seems that one of the employees took me more seriously when I realized last week when I offered to be his best friend if he would get me a fountain Diet Coke, because he was pouring it before I had to ask this time. What a guy. I am telling you there is love potential with any man who keeps me supplied with a fountain DC.

So forgive the egocentric Blip and lack of artistic creativity - but here it is, I would like to introduce the Texan. Now those of you in the Coolidge Corner area, get your butts in gear and go over to Bagel Rising and order my bagel, I am trying to get it on the permanent menu.
