Anne's Daily Encounters

On the job

All day long on Sunday, workers contracted for the Electricity Company here,  worked on the installation of the new poles and new electricity wires; of course we were all disconnected from the electricity network.

The workers all originate from countries in Greece's neighbourhood, Albania, former Yugoslavia... the man in my main entry is from Ohrid, what's now in North Macedonia, I remember it as a pittoresque village on Lake Ohrid in Yugoslavia.
In that main entree, the new connections  towards the houses are placed on the new wire; in the extra's the sequence of their works.

In the later eve (about 9) we had a powercut for some 20 minutes; I have no idea how they managed to solve that, but they obviously did.
