Hanging on the telephone

Tourists lining up outside a red telephone box on Parliament Square this afternoon to have their photos taken in this "typical " London setting. Even better if Big Ben and a red London bus can be captured in the same photo. I've no idea if the phone in the box  - and there is one, as most of the 'callers' appear to pose with it to their ear - is actually working but, if it does, good luck if you have an urgent call to make!  I got talking to a couple from California after I took the photo. They had visited London before and were surveying the telephone photo queue with the same wry amusement as me. Much more sensibly, they were about to  head off to Borough Market.
