Speckled Bush Cricket

There is a commotion in the wood next to the garden, baby birds of prey of some kind I think. Possibly sparrowhawk as we had to cut one free from our goal net in the garden. There is also some owl hooting. I have not been able to find anything accessible to blip though.
This grasshopper was very understanding. He is on one of my pots in the garden so I was able to turn the pot this way and that to try and get a decent shot. He is very beautiful. Some shots had to be discarded as he decided to have a poo just as I was taking a photo. You do see a lot through a macro lens.
