The chattering caught my attention and I snapped four magpies in flight.

The rhyme used to be: 
One for sorrow
Two for mirth
Three for a funeral
Four for a birth ...

Now it's:
One for sorrow
Two for joy
Three for a girl
Four for a boy ...
