Hoverfly on ceanothus

We had a lovely sunny day today, warm in the sun.  There were more hoverflies around than there have been all summer.  Even better, I saw two butterflies, probably peacocks or red admirals, but they didn't settle anywhere.  The buddleia flowers have all died now, and it seems that they did not fancy the ceanothus.
