Wednesday: A Red Rose

It was 8:15 when I woke up this morning, can’t remember when I slept so late … weather was rather chilly 15°C but stayed dry, I had no inclination to be outside or doing anything, I finally did something which should have been done last week …

This afternoon I decided to start clearing the area around the globe artichokes near the road. The red rose (today’s Blip) and a pretty white rose were entwined/choked with honeysuckle, but were easy enough to cut back. I’ve taken cuttings of both roses, they’ve been here for a very long time and I would hate to be without them :-)

An hour or so of gardening was quite enough, luckily I’d planned what we were having for dinner tonight …

Watched the last couple of episodes of “The Gentleman” … there’s another season starting soon … :-))
