horns of wilmington's cow

Little did we know…

…. the stress this one would cause. I’m writing this a few days later, but after 2pm today we didn’t see her again before we left for Yorkshire for a few days the following morning.

She’s disappeared for 24 hours a couple of times, but it’s still disquieting. So my mum, looking after the chickens and cats, was under instructions to let us know when she reappeared.

The following day there was nothing. Not the Tuesday morning. Neither of us had slept much worrying, and the Tuesday was proving a rollercoaster of enjoying being away, but continuing worry.

Until, sat having lunch, I managed to get enough of a connection to grab the triggers of one of our security cameras. And there, just five minutes before, she’d trotted across the yard, gone in, found none home, and come back out.

My mum later sent a photo of her eating. Dirty little stop out. I’ll be having words with her when we get back.
