Black shoes

Had a really good night's sleep which maybe helped the swimming, my average length time was just over 53 secs. Got home to find the traffic diversions were in place again but the Council hadn't updated the c website and by 9 there was gridlock in the street. 

I worked all day, best thing to do as the weather was grim, interspersed with some bits and pieces, inc a call to #2 son who was in a Grab. Did budgets and reporting and after lunch sorted holidays and drafted an agenda but hopefully I don't have to do much more this week. 

My house sitter is v keen, asking for info. Think that's positive. After work walked to the PO to get some cash for SCD and came back via Margiotta to see how the work was progressing. Looks like  this time the suggestions will be 24 hours.

Watched the news which is truly depressing. #1 son thinks I may have to travel west over the Arctic. It is truly awful. Why do people want to keep killing each other? 

First SCD of the season. 17 of us and I kept drifting off thinking about work and getting irked. 

There was some good news, an invite to our neighbours wedding, but I don't think I can go. Clash of events.
