Beauty is all around us.

Beautiful Gazania flower.

The Feast Day of Saint Teresa of Lisieux. Also called Therese of the Child Jesus. Patron saint of Missionaries, florists, gardeners, France and Russia, HIV and Tuberculosis sufferers. Nun, virgin and a Doctor of the Church.
1873 to 1897. St Therese is much venerated by her devotees and she is pictured wearing a Carmelite habit and carrying roses and a crucifix. She was humble, loving, kind and devoted to prayer and being in God's Presence. She died age 24 from tuberculosis. Her "Autobiography of a Soul" is well worth reading.

It has been a cold day, 12c outdoors and 17c in the living room when I got up this morning. The heating needed to be on for an hour, to create a reasonable warmth for ourselves, the cats and the plants.

I dressed warmly to go out and buy the Daily Mail and later went along to visit my friend Lynn with some decorative Crosses for Sunday school children. Lynn kindly gave me some Spring bulbs.

Then after a good chat with Lynn, I went to collect a Parish Church newsletter and buy some lovely homemade marmalade from the fund raising stall.
I walked to the pharmacy to collect my prescription.

Then home to have lunch, watch online Holy Mass and offer it up for my prayer intentions. I pray always for peace and love and respect for God and the Lord's teachings.
I feel a little under the weather because it is damp and cold. It is not good walking weather today. The lawn is squelchy again and not great to walk on. I feel upset about the areas suffering from floods.
I hope you have a decent start to October and thank you for dropping by to visit my site, blip friends.
