Cradle Mountain
We had quite a lot of driving today. I took the first leg from Launceston to Cradle Mountain National Park . The temperature was 9c when we arrived and with the wind chill it felt a lot colder. Both and Anne and I had 5 layers on. We caught the shuttle bus to its highest stop at Dove Lake and admired the fantastic scenery then moved on to Ronny Creek, where we got to see the Wombats. They were really close to the Boardwalk we were on. I didn’t crop my photo so you can see by my shadow just how near we got. The Park has strict guidelines about not touching the animals .
We also did another walk that took us up near the Pencil Pine Falls (see extra)
Anne then took the second leg from Cradle Mountain to Strahan where we are staying for a couple of nights. Fabulous view from my room which is called The Shack!! ( see extra)
