Sleepy time

So I have missed a few days of blipping because the Snow Lodge at Old Faithful does not have any internet. So when we left Jackson Hole and the Tetons for Yellowstone  the sky was filled with smoke and the smell of fires was pretty bad. There were 3 wildfires close to Jackson . The closest was almost 25,000 acres caused by lightening .  We made our way back up , stopping at a few places in the park but everything was pretty hazy  and did n't clear till we were back in Yellowstone. We get settled in in the late afternoon and went out for a walk around the geysers. This bison was sleeping about 10-15 feet from the path . Needless to say we went quickly by and everyone passing was being pretty quiet so as not to disturb. They will usually ignore people but the park cautions to stay at least 25 yards away because they are very unpredictable and can move very fast. They have tossed and gored people who come too close. I think if we were not so tired and it was not laying down  we would have gone back and found another path . the extras are hopefully both in , but are from the geyser basin along the river and Castle geyser spouting off.
