Notes: Awake in the 5a hour again ... online a bit and then got up when I heard Michelle just before 8a. Slow-ish morning, coffee and took the garbage down and hit the pickleballs around a bit in the community center. Raining first thing and then off-and-on - only in 60s! Shown is the mug I used for coffee each day and felt quite prophetic. Packed up then and we headed to Reagan airport around noon. Got there w/ plenty of time and mostly quick thru security but then they pulled my suitcase and had to check the carbon steel fry pan (apparently cast iron isn't allowed in carryon ... what??) but then I was allowed thru - thank goodness! Hour and half wait, posted some pics and ate my travel boiled eggs, bacon, chix sausage. Had A33 and got window row 4 and empty middle seat! Flight went well, got in 30 min early. Had heard from Ellen but she wasn't able to come get me ... I got an Uber, not too long wait and was dropped off at my place just before 5p. Plenty of time to get it cooled down, top off the power station, get my mail from Eric & Linda's (and heard about their Hurricane Helene experience - many have lost everything in this area and wasn't a direct hit) and my box from mom & dad's in the mailbox. Also took a shower and got lots put away, my new glass coffee Pure Over system washed before the 6p switchover to using almost no power until 9p (the Peak charge time). First time I booted up the internet, it didn't work, tried a couple things and then it came on ok. Didn't really feel like streaming anything so had some shows on for awhile. Quite hot and humid still, tired early. Did watch some NFL in bed and tried to stay awake as long as poss - 2 Mon night games.
