Symbolism
I had trouble sleeping last night (again). I was still awake at 1:50 am when hubby texted he was heading to an airport. But I had my annual physical so I got up and got ready for that. All’s good from that visit. We hear the Longshoremen may strike today; we could have a severe supply shortage leading to higher prices. I went shopping for essentials. This mural is painted in the store’s entrance. While I was there, I found a few stocking stuffers and books to entertain River and Isla for their long trip this weekend - at least 8 hours. Everything is put away, I had lunch, washed a load of laundry and now cannot hold my eyes open. It may be an early night. Hubby flew to Athens, boarded a cruise ship and they are now in MYKONOS. He seems to be enjoying his trip so far. I hope you have plans for an adventure soon. Stay safe. The devastation caused by Hurricane Helena is heartbreaking. Please pray for those affected. Thanks for stopping by. “St. Mary’s County (The) county is home to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station and St. Mary's College of Maryland. Traditionally, St. Mary's County has been known for its unique and historic culture of Chesapeake Bay tidewater farming, fishing, and crabbing communities. But with the advent of the military bases, growth of an extensive defense contractor presence, and the growth of St. Mary's College of Maryland, as well as increasing numbers of long-distance Washington, D.C. commuters, it has been undergoing a decades-long transformation which has seen the county's population double since 1970.” - Wikipedia
