Crewe

I've spent countless hours on Crewe station on my way to and back from Milton Keynes. It's a good number of years since I've been here. The cafe is every bit as grotty as I remember. I've got an hour to wait here, again just like the old days. 

Not sure about HS2 though. 

I was on the 07:30 train from Stirling, the 08:58 from Haymarket (where I met one of my friends) to Crewe and I'll be on the 13:18 to Whitchurch, Shropshire which is our destination. Our friend from West Wales is on her way and this evening we'll be together for a three night break. 

Panic when my friend went to Waverley and I had the tickets from Haymarket on my phone but it all worked out in the nick of time. Phew. 

It's so exciting. I don't know this part of the world well at all so it's an adventure as well as a chance to catch up with much chat.
