Shadowing

As promised, a picture of the california poppies opened up in the sunshine - with the added bonus of an approaching bee!

It's been quite windy today, but still bright sunshine and clear skies. It just didn't feel as hot as yesterday.

My wife returned from her overnight trip with her class somewhat wiped out, so I looked after her for the morning. Lunch was in the garden, followed by a bit of cutting back in the garden. Cut back some brambles invading from next door, dug up a home-grown one, and cut back some branches on a forsythia and a hawthorn which are getting too big for their boots.

Then on to a friend's sixtieth birthday celebration, complete with a hog roast, and finally home and a very drained Mrs. Mike taking herself off to bed and me sorting out this blip.
