Golden hour
Mum is blurred because I was trying to show the beautiful garden behind her with light on a late flush of roses, one a Buff Beauty but all you can see is golden light and blurred Mum. So let’s just say Golden Hour is a title that can be read two ways.
After a day of lashing rain followed by heavy wind it was nice to be able to have tea in the conservatory and pretend it was still warm outside.
I managed a longish walk first thing and then darted into Petersfield in the mid afternoon before going on to tea. Posted some stuff for Vinted, bought ingredients for supper.
I made a tray bake from BBC Food, recipe of sausages and squash that was deliciously fragrant and autumnal. We watched more of Kaos which is really very good and enjoyable.
RIP Dame Maggie. I worked with her in 1999 when she was Betsey Trotwood in our David Copperfield. It was where she met Daniel Radcliffe who was our young David. She adored him and it was she who put him forward to the producers of Harry Potter. She was quite a challenge to a newish producer and she once gave me a telling off for something which was…memorable. But all was forgotten and forgiven a few days later and I was allowed back into the charmed circle where the best stories were being shared.
