Mrs P

Soaring

The sunshine was back today but it was cooler (a mere 18°) and very windy. Not a day for the beach but the surfers were out in force. Mr P and I walked up the prom to the top part of the beach (El Puntal) and then back across the beach. About 8km in total. It certainly blew away the cobwebs!
After lunch we FaceTimed my French friends who’ve been having a difficult time recently. Sadly we won’t be able to meet up with them as planned this trip. We then set about sorting through all the paraphernalia in the cupboards (very nostalgic….especially for Mr P) as the flat will almost certainly be sold soon.
I’ll really miss it as I first came here with Mr P in 1988 (lots of partying with his Spanish pals then) and the boys have loved our beach holidays here over the years. Mr P has been holidaying here since he was a toddler.
We’re taking some of the things to our flat in Valencia but we’re struggling to take very much as our car is small and full of things for son no 1 and his girlfriend, who are coming to live in Valencia for a year.
In the evening, we went to the local theatre for a concert by a local male voice choir. Raining heavily again tonight.
