Too late

The last time I walked past these brambles they were full of Blackberries but when I returned today ready to pick some, I discovered I was too late, somebody had got there before me. The ones that I could reach weren’t ripe, all bar the odd few, and the ones that were ripe were out of my reach.

Difficult start to the day then off to the dentist for an emergency appointment. Now waiting for a further appointment at a branch in Bristol where they have special X-ray facilities. Eeek!! Left the dentist feeling very fed up so on the way home treated myself to a bag of jam doughnuts. Just as well I did as I then failed to gather any blackberries for our pudding.

Back home, a raft of medical phone calls and washing, then collapsed in a heap to watch a film and munch a doughnut. Garage mechanic returned my car after a full service and a new MOT certificate. Time to think about putting it up for sale...

A very wet night but a dry day at last, though much cooler, only 10 degrees when I went out this morning.
