Beauty is all around us.

Jack Frost leaves.

The Feast Day of Saint Vincent de Paul. 1581 to 1660. Patron saint of Charity, lost things, hospitals, prisoners, volunteers, horses, leprosy and Madagascar.

It started very cold this morning, 11c but felt like 8c. There was a light agate blue colour sky and the wind was very cold.
I wrapped up in several warm layers and wore my green Thinsulate hat to go and buy our newspapers at 8:30am.. I look forward to our Accrington Observer on Friday, because it has interesting articles about what has been happening in Hyndburn, politically and socially. They have recently renovated the Accrington Pals peace garden and added two sculptures of soldiers by artist John Everiss.

Just a normal homely day here, with housework, cat care, two good walks and online Mass from Sheffield.

The beautiful patterned leaves in my blip are called Jack Frost or Brunnera Macrophylla. I noticed them in a front garden on my walk. They seem to last well in all weathers and look pretty in a border with red and yellow begonias.

I hope you have an enjoyable weekend blip friends and thank you very much for visiting my site today.
