Both BBC and met office weather forecasts were terrible . . . heavy rain in the morning and less heavy in the afternoon. When I looked out about 9.30 the sky didn’t look like one that was ready to soak me.

I took a chance and drove to Skelwith Bridge. Plenty of parking spaces :) I had a wander by the river where these belted galloways were grazing. I couldn’t persuade them to lift their heads for a photo.
