I set off for Kendal with a flask of coffee and three shopping lists, though not a lot on each, all for shops at the north side of town. A problem at a self scan till when there were no staff looking after that section but otherwise ok.

Going home I was stuck in a mile of stop/crawl traffic approaching Ambleside. The cause turned out to be a broken down car just before Waterhead traffic lights. I was lucky as the queue was over 2 miles long later.

Surprisingly it was raining in Kendal but Ambleside stayed dry until late afternoon.
