My day

Abstract Thursday

I went looking for something and found what I wanted. Success. I also found a few things I had forgotten I owned as well. I really should throw things out but they do come in handy for AT.

I didn’t achieve much today. First up was a haircut. My sweet young hairdresser tells me she is taking leave next year to have a baby. I have known her since she started her apprenticeship. She lent me her umbrella as it was raining when I left to walk home. I will return it tomorrow.

On the return journey I called into Aldi. I had ordered 5 zucchini to make a zucchini slice for a function tomorrow. I did a trial run last week. Anyway the zucchini didn’t arrive in my grocery order and was replaced by 4 tiny yellow squash. They wouldn’t feed 25 people.  I am helping cater for a group attending a Bathurst Country Weekend put on by the National Trust. They have 7 historic country mansions open for people who pay (a large amount) for the privilege of seeing places which are not usually open. On Saturday I’m helping to mind Glanmire Hall while the people go through it. It is Tudor Gothic Style and I’m interested in seeing what it is like. No photos allowed unfortunately.
