Rose with buds

Went to home group this evening and on the way in noticed this beautiful little rose with blossoms and also a number of buds! They will receive a harsh welcome if they come to flower as the temperature is dropping!

Went to see Firebrand this afternoon. A film about Catherine Parr and her life with Henry XIII. Entirely imagined and somewhat fascinating glimpse of life in a Tudor court under a tyrannical king! And a glimpse of the introduction of a new expression of faith apart from the Roman Catholic tradition. Dissent, heresy and treason. Very glad I live in current times though there is discontent in the Church of England too!
