Hillscourt

Last night and today I attended the UPP Convention atr Hillscourt.  This location, in Rednal, Worcestershire, was originally a school which "prepared boys for the Public Schools by a sound, balanced and progressive education."  Fees: £110 a term (boarders) or £65 a term (day boys). It is now a hotel and conference centre owned and run by NASUWT, the teachers' union.

The convention included (apart from the AGM) presentations by various talented and interesting photographers and an exhibition of members' prints (or prints made from their digital entries for those who only submitted photographs digitally).

It was an entertaining day and a great opportunity to meet and socialise with other keen photographers.

For those unaware of the UPP (United Photographic Postfolios), it is a kind of postal or online photogaphic club.  Great for those who cannot get to a physical club or as an addition to a physical club.  It uses the tagline "the club that comes to you".
