Chasing Bins and the Sunshine

FRIDAY

I was up early at 6:50, and after a quick shower, I headed over to Denbigh to take care of a little job I’d promised – putting out a couple of green garden waste bins at a house there. I failed! As I arrived, the collection lorry was  disappearing off into the distance.

Back home, after breakfast, I spent some time out in the garden, clipping back a Cherry Bay and also a pine tree.  The clippings filled up our own two green bins.

This afternoon, I popped down to Rhuddlan for some bowls practice and had a good game with my friend Paul.

Then a drive over to Prestatyn for a cappuccino at the M&S café and  a small food shop as our Ocado order was a bit light this week.

It's been a lovely day outside, and I’m finding it hard to believe the 2024 bowls season is almost over. Our home green closes in just over a week on September 30th.

Even the sunflower near the allotments by the bowls club refuses to accept that summer is ending—clearly, it’s in denial too!
