Through the Round Window
Today started rather overcast which I hoped would bring some respite from the awful heat we've been suffering... but unfortunately the sun is now starting to break through again. I set out early with the intention of visiting Charlecote Park, but everyone else seemed to have the same idea and the car park was already full when I got there, despite it being an hour until the house opened. So instead I visited St Leonards Church where many of the previous occupants of Charlecote Park now reside. At least it was cool in there. This is the Rose Window from the eastern end of the Lucy Chapel and underneath it on the outside of the church is the inscription: I am the resurrection and the life.
