Red harvest
The warmth last week gave a boost to the ripening tomatoes and this crop is from the past 3 days. We’ll eat what we can and make sauces with the rest for the freezer.
Still lots of green tomatoes so chutney may also have to be made!
I can report that at least one of yesterday’s cucumbers was not bitter and made a lovely crunchy cucumber, mint and cream cheese sandwich. I’ll have to try the others tomorrow.
