Al Seef
(22/9/24)
I had a leisurely start to the day. G has a 4get-me-not outing in the afternoon, so it was great to cruise into lunch, which was an egg sandwich on the new load of sourdough bread I got from Carrefour. It is much nicer than the loaf that Spinney's makes, so I am glad we have found bread for sandwiches!
I drove G to the Shindagha Museum for a perfume and jewellery-making session. I went to Al Seef and enjoyed a couple of hours in Costa. I didn't realise until editing my pictures how fortunate I was to get the table I had! I sat at the table looking out to the Creek from the window on the left of my extra image. It was lovely watching abras and other marine vessels float along whilst I put the finishing touches to a new video I've been working on, at the request of a subscriber! It is my fifth full-length album of music that is more contemporary - like what you might hear on the radio.
It's so sad that the 2-for-1 offer that my bank grants me is coming to an end soon. I'd love to know why. I took G an iced lemon hibiscus tea when I went to collect her. We got home in record time for a Saturday night, in fact, the internal roads in Karama were so clear, that I ordered dinner from Student Biryani. :)) It was a great end to a happy, relaxed day. I went to bed thinking of my friend rachelwhynot and three members of her family who were out in Battersea Park walking a half-marathon raising money for cancer research!
