Bella’s First Family

Viola, Jacob, Karol and Oskar came to visit us on the boat today. We hadn’t seen them for 3 years! Bella was so excited to see them.
They were her first adopters in 2017 but their youngest boy - just a toddler back then - was really allergic to Bella’s fur so they had to rehome her and we were the lucky ones who became her new family.
They are a lovely Polish family who have lived and worked in the Preston area for 17 years. I remember the day we collected Bella, she looked so confused and Viola was sobbing her heart out. I felt terrible for her.
Anyway, we have all moved on from that day and Viola went on to rescue more Romanian dogs and find them good homes until the boys went to school and she had to start working.
Today we took them up the canal to Aireville Park so the boys could play and ride their scooters and we took a picnic but oh my word it was freezing so we didn’t stay long and went back to the boat then took her into the basin where we moored up and went to buy chips at Bizzie Lizzie’s.
Gosh those boys can eat! They ate their big picnic, then chips, ice creams and some cake their dad had baked. Jacob always bakes us vegan cake when we see them. They are not vegan but he makes good cakes.
When we arrived back at our mooring they had a cuppa and cake and then left for home.
Frank and I did a quick tidy up and came home.
We were knackered as we’d been on our feet all day.
It was a lovely day apart from being so cold Brrrr!
