Towards Hilbre

Sadly, the sunshine of the last week has largely disappeared today, but G and Daniel do manage to do the work they’ve planned for in the garden. G’s up a ladder getting rid of ivy for much of the morning; I don’t know how he does it.

We go out to the local garden centre for coffee and cake, and to raid the very impressive selection of frozen ready meals available - steak pie and chips for the men, and Thai steamed sea bass with coconut rice for me! Saturday dinner sorted!

I’ve planned to take some shots of waders on the beach at Meols, and can’t believe my stupidity when I discover that yet again I’ve brought a camera with no memory card! It’s ridiculous as I have lots of spares I could put in my camera bag! Of course there’s always my iPhone - so my blip is safe. And today it’s looking over towards the Hilbre Islands from Red Rocks Reserve, the skies dark and heavy with the coming storm.
