Last day of Summer?

I wasn't particularly optimistic, faced with a wide range of weather warnings  today for rain, hail, thunder, lightning , floods and pestilence ( I made up the last one) but after  a dreary start a very fine and warm day ensued. A walk by the sea was an opportunity too good to miss, and there was a little more activity than on my previous visit. A yacht race was in progress, although very spread out, a large tanker was discharging cargo at the oil terminal, and a little bird was perched on the wall, people watching, not at all scared off by the number of folks out enjoying the conditions. I hope someone will identify it for me. Finally Plymouth Hoe with giant Cumulous clouds building  in the background but  a long way off.
