Cueva de los Verdes
3000 years ago the volcano Monte Corona erupted, spreading out lava towards the sea. The top layer cooled down and hardened. The lava underneath flowed out to sea leaving tunnels behind. The tunnel is as long as 6 km. We went inside a little part of it. So basically we were walking through the cooled down lava.
In the blip you see a reflection of the lighted tunnel into the water that's in the tunnel. There have been visits to the tunnel since the 1960s.
Later we visited a cave that's also part of the tunnel. With water inside, habit to a tiny white crab. Extended outside with a beautiful pool which is merely to look at these days.
Our third visit today was a cactus garden. Very nicely made and laid out.
Cesar Manrique had a hand in everything surrounding. Like that pool, he also designed the entire cactus garden. I went into every toilet we encountered to see how it was designed. ;-)
