At Chalkis

Today we went to the main town of Evia, Chalkis. We visited an old Venetian fortress and walked the city. Among other things we saw a 15th century mosque, the 13th century Agua Perakevi-basilica (it was closed, because it was being renovated, which indeed looked very necessary), a 19th century synagogue and we visited a very nice small archeological museum.
