Mrs Beeton’s Household Management

A big thunderstorm this afternoon and it’s pouring with rain now. Thought a selection of pictures from this old book would make a nice blip. It was a present from my uncle Fred to my auntie Laurie for Christmas 1950. The illustrations are wonderful and I’m going to try some of the recipes. My auntie’s macaroons were always a favourite with all of us. The electric cooker seems a tad old-fashioned now but it’s a really lovely book to have. I’m enjoying finding her bookmarks of what must have been favourite recipes.
