Early Birthday Tea
We've had another quiet day after taking Euan to school and we are very glad for it after the busy few weeks we have had up to this one.
When it was home time, we collected Euan from school with his scooter so that we could get him easily up to the Junction for a bus into Oxford. It was absolutely packed with students coming away from what appeared to be a Freshers Market at Oxford Brookes and we had to squeeze our way through when it reached St Clements and our stop.
We walked/scooted to the Sports Centre for Euan's swimming lesson. He was reluctant to go in at first because he said it was very cold, but the new teacher took his hand and was very good with him and, after a couple of thumbs down, he was soon splashing away. When he came out, though, he was very cold and we had to get him dressed quickly and wrap him in Grandad's fleece jacket for the walk into the City and to Pizza Express. Next Friday it will be Euan's fifth birthday but we will not be here for his Clip n Climb party so we decided to have an early birthday tea with him this week. He was great company and we had a lovely time and he particularly enjoyed coming home on the bus and scooting down the street home in the dark! Hopefully he will sleep tonight!
