Glorious purple

The sun has deserted us so far today. Still dry and it was quite warm this morning when I walked to Woodbank garden centre for some cards. Since then the wind has increased and it does feel cooler.

When we shopped on Monday I couldn’t resist another cheap bunch of Gladioli. Non were open so it was hard to establish the colour. I’ve had some lemon yellow ones since the bright red that I blipped last month and I wanted something different.
I could see that these were dark so gave them a try.
As you can see they are a lovely deep purple/lilac. They are taking their time to open but that’s ok as they will last me next week too.

Waiting in for the delivery of my laptop but I’m going out with the ‘Ladies who used to travel’, or at least two of them, this evening for a meal. We’re going to try a ‘God burger’ at our local. I’m not one for burgers but these have had a good press and we can walk there. Always open to trying something new!

Happy weekend everyone, autumn really does start next week. The family are heading to the south Devon coast with friends and neighbours for Jude’s fourth birthday. Hope the forecast thunder storms stay away.
