Another Campus Robin Nest Tale
Robin fledgling by the Campus Centre(/er) this afternoon. At least one of the parents is busy feeding it in general, and, during the time of this photo, was circling, about twenty feet away, worm in mouth.
I can't say what will become of this little one, since he(/she) is currently next to a busy building (though might have some peace and quiet during the weekend), and the area, simultaneously wooded and residential, has its share of predatory birds, cats, and other things that go bump in the night (perhaps owing to poor nocturnal vision). On the bright side, this fledgling is right next to a dense bush, so if sufficiently wise, might become a hedgling by night. (:-) .)
